Wigan Vegan Community aims to provide a social space for all those interested in Veganism. We meet to share food, ideas, and resources, to help encourage and provide communal support for existing Vegans, and for those considering a move to helping save the environment and animal suffering by becoming plant based, with a positive and friendly attitude. We highlight the health, the ethical and the environmental aspects of eating a plant based diet. As a community we work within our organisation and work with others who share common aims.
Most of our information is on our Facebook page: @wiganvegancommunity. We really do hope you will drop by. Non Facebook people can contact via our direct email wiganvegancommunity@gmail.com and you can also find us on Twitter @WiganVegan and Instagram, wiganvegancommunity
Also, please feel free to use our enquiry form below.
We meet at Beech Hill Book-cycle to exchange food and ideas.
Please check our social media for up and coming events.
Our goals are to:
A) Work together to improve the health and well-being of the local community by promoting a plant based diet.
B) Educate people on the environmental and health implications of a non vegan diet.
C) Encourage people to grow their own produce.
D) Champion animal rights in a positive and friendly manner.
E) Work alongside other community groups who share similar values.
We operate on a non political basis. Our group is open to all.
